Healing vs Treatment
There are multiple aspects that can come into therapeutic work. Two major pieces relate to healing and treatment. Creative Core Therapy, LLC feels that both are important to include in treatment modalities. Healing is more collaborative and addresses all aspects of a person’s life using a variety of practices. To heal means to make whole while treatment involves the process of controlling and/or eliminating a disease that disrupts the healthy functioning of an individuals’ body, mind, or behavior.
NCBI Definition of Healing: “Healing is a positive, subjective, unpredictable process involving transformation to a new sense of wholeness, spiritual transcendence, and reinterpretation of life.”
